About the Artist

Debbie was born and raised in Orange County, California, where her love of art began with a childhood obsession with Play Doh. She attended Cypress Community College where she found clay while being taught and mentored by Molly Schulps, and later working as her teaching assistant and ceramics lab technician. In the fall of 2016, she transferred to the Kansas City Art Institute, and was able to take part in West Virginia University’s study abroad program at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China in the fall of 2017. Debbie currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri where she is a Bachelor of Fine Art candidate in Ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute.
